Great teaching, inspired learning: discussion paper

This discussion paper invites comment on how to further develop the quality of teaching in New South Wales schools in light of the challenges of the 21st century. To guide the feedback process, the paper looks at five important areas: the features of great teaching that lead to inspired learning; initial teacher education; supportive professional teaching standards and associated accreditation processes; support for teacher professional and career development; and identification and recognition of outstanding practice in the teaching profession.
